Bowls: Welham take triples trophy

Malton Bowls Club held their Eric Woods Memorial annual triples competition with teams from as far as Thirsk and York taking part.

Welham won the whistle stop competition with a team skippered by Malcolm Wilkinson, while second were a Malton team captained by John Harper.

In the absence of Norman Woods, brother of the late Eric Woods, the trophies and prize money were presented by Keith Piercy and Brenda Mansell, both members of Malton.
