Senior Cricket League: Patrington claim division five title

Jamie McKinley hit 83 as Patrington clinched the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League fifth division title with a seven-wicket win over York IV.
Civil Service made sure of second place with a 105-run victory at Yapham, who were skittled out for 37 by Sam Dodds’ 5-5 haul.
At Heworth , Gary Hall reached 100 not out when his captain declared on 210-3 after 43 overs.
Thirsk were then rolled over for 92 as Oliver Sherwood and Will Peat each claimed three wickets and will now accompany Whitkirk in dropping to division six.
Matthew Bowden made 53 and Richard Sherwood took 5-16 as Selby completed – after their first team’s premier division win – a double over Sheriff Hutton Bridge whom they replaced in fourth place.
Bolton Percy II were confirmed as division six champions after they defeated second-placed Hornsea by 33 runs.
Despite the defeat the East Coasters are also promoted being just one point ahead of Woodhouse Grange III who won at Tadcaster by seven wickets. Andrew Ferguson produced the goods for Bolton with 5-27. James Pullein played a captain’s innings for Cawood , making 75 in a 33-run beating of Dunnington .
Rowntrees ended the season without a win when losing by three wickets at Pocklington.
