American Impact returns to action at Musselburgh races

Norton trainer Tony Coyle gave American Impact a crack at the big boys at York’s Ebor Festival , but his juvenile returns to the scene of his sole success tomorrow and can be rewarded with a second Musselburgh win.
Coyle saddled his youngster in the Group 3 Acomb Stakes on Knavesmire, a tall order in a strong five-runner field.
American Impact should be much more at home in tomorrow’s TurfTV Nursery. He had won his maiden on this course, over an inadequate five furlongs. Barry McHugh has the mount.
Norton trainer Julie Camacho seems to have her horses in better form now and she heads to Scotland with a couple of winning chances in the two divisions of the Towergate Underwriting Handicap.
In the first leg, Dubai Celebration is entitled to go well after sound efforts at Thirsk and Doncaster on his last two starts, while half-an-hour later New Romantic has the opportunity of going one better, following his runner-up effort at Yarmouth.
Mick Easterby narrowly came up short with Tiger Webb at Beverley three weeks ago when the gelding failed by a head to beat course specialist Saint Thomas in a thrilling finish.
Tiger Webb goes again in the Nairn’s Oatcakes Handicap and is napped to come out a winner this time under David Nolan.
Tim Easterby’s Sweet Fairnando (5.00), a decisive winner at Redcar last time out, is taken to follow-up, again with blinkers applied, while the Kevin Ryan-trained Clubland (5.35) ran out a clear-cut winner at Southwell last time.
If he can reproduce that under a penalty, he may be able to end his turf record of ten outings without a victory. At Wolverhampton today, Avec Rose is napped to win the opening Holiday Inn Wolverhampton Nursery under Lee Topliss.
