York Golf Club raise £3,000 for York Against Cancer

A ONE over the eight charity drive proved the perfect tonic for this year’s York Against Cancer Silver Celebration appeal.
Nine members of York Golf Club played the course virtually nonstop from 6am to 9pm and amid soaring temperatures to raise a dazzling £3,000-plus total.
Said Ralph Magee, director of York Against Cancer: “We are very grateful for all the sponsorship the participants received, generous donations from other members of the club and, of course, the nine golfers.”
