HIGH-FLYING: Malton & Norton player-coach Chris Creber dives over to score his side’s third try against Sheffield
Malton & Norton RUFC moved up to fourth in North One East after closing out their home campaign with a 37-12 victory over Sheffield.
Sheffield led for the only time at The Gannock after a fifth-minute penalty from Donal Collins. Number eight Jarad Williams charged over for the hosts’ opening try and Ali Heard converted.
Tries from full-back Ian Cooke and player-coach Chris Creber against three further Sheffield penalties made it 17-12 at the break.
The second half belonged to Malton as Cooke completed his hat-trick, while wing Tom Newitt added two tries.
