ONCE the fog had cleared at Hovingham Old Quarry for the first round club championship match organised by Eboracum MC of York, the spring-like weather suited Leavening’s Adam Milner and Scarborough`s James Carr.

They both stayed unpenalised over the four-lap, ten-section course.

The returning Jack Howell, from Port Mulgrave, lost ground on the rock slab of three, observer Graham Hick catching him for three marks lost.

York’s Joe Clements also lost three here, but hit bigger trouble on the big climb of eight, the AM Beta taking charge and firing him off for a five right in front of dad Alan.

Clubman B class had Mick Dorgan, from Loftus, back to winning ways, holding off Malton rally man Roy Jarvis. Third- placed man Dave Teasdale had his moment of glory on the first section, the only rider clear every lap. The Kendra family dominated the rest of the classes, with brothers Bryan and Mike Twin Shock victors, Bryan taking it on most cleans rule. Richard grabbed Inters from Ben Myers and Ollie won Youth A from Matt Ackerly and Nikita Smith.
