THE Greenalls dominated the Sinnington Point-to-Point.

Jockey Tom Greenall scooped a double and Jack also got a winner as the Sinnington Hunt staged their rescheduled meeting last Saturday in front of a big crowd in the grounds of Duncombe Park.

Jack Greenall won the Novice and Veteran Riders race on Pristine Condition (5-2 fav), who made most of the running and, after leading over the last, stayed on well to justify favouritism.

Canada Street travelled well to challenge the leader but looked outpaced in the closing stages, while Dessert Tommy who struggled to go the early frantic pace came from out of the clouds and take third.

Classinaglass (2-5 fav), ridden by Tom Greenall and trained by Sheriff Hutton’s David Easterby, looks a class recruit to pointing and won the Restricted race with relative ease.

The jockey, and Easterby, notched a double when Royal Deal (5-4 fav) took division two of the open maiden.

Candleford (6-1), ridden by Mark Walford, also from Sheriff Hutton, won division three with something in hand from Sky Bull, who was giving Simon Hunter his debut ride.

In form duo Nichola Naughton and Ian Smith recorded a double in two of the hotly contested races of the day.

The first leg came in the Confined race with Lem Putt, who put a disappointing effort behind him at Sheriff Hutton to win gamely.

The pair led two out and, with a wall of horses stacking up behind them, they battled on gamely up the Duncombe Park hill to fend them all off.

Scrum V (14-1) completed the pair in the Mixed Open, Smith’s mount staying on gamely on the flat to beat Dark Moon, who weakened after the last, by half a length.
