Three Grand National entries from North Yorkshire

NORTH Yorkshire has three entries among the 82 in contention for the Grand National in April.

Norton’s Brian Ellison has entered Neptune Equester, while town colleague Malcolm Jefferson has put forward According To Pete and King Fontaine for the world’s greatest steeplechase, held at Aintree over four-and-a-half miles, on April 14.

Record prize money of £975,000 is up for grabs at this year’s event. The weights are announced on February 14.
