MIKEY Brown scored with the last kick of the game to sink Sinnington and send Heslerton into the final of the Ryedale Hopsital Cup.

The only goal of an end-to-end semi-final was scored by Brown in the final second of extra-time, meaning Heslerton have now defeated the Sinners three times on their home ground during 2011/12.

Ross Flinton was named man of the match, while Paul Harland impressed most for the visitors.

In the first division, honours finished even between top two Thornton-le-Dale and Union Rovers.

John Ellis hit a post for Thornton, who then went ahead courtesy of a curling 30-yard effort from Luke Hobbs.

But, after centre-back Lee Dunning – Union’s top performer – had a goal disallowed, Jimmy Tonkinson earned the visitors a share of the spoils.

Defensive king-pin Paul Simpson was Thornton’s star man.

Goals from Joe Melvin, Daman Cox and Jason Brown saw Kirkbymoorside reserves win 3-0 at Rosedale with midfielder Tony Barrett man of the match.

Centre-back Stewart Dowson stood out for Rosedale.

Bottom-of-the-table Norton United, meanwhile, won their first game of the season in a basement battle with Kirdale United.

Norton ran out 4-2 victors thanks to two long-range strikes from man-of-the-match John Hayton and further efforts from Scott Ferguson and Sam Keyworth.

Martin Grayson got both Kirkdale consolations – the first from the penalty spot – while midfielder Jack Hugill shone in defeat.

Gillamoor won 1-0 at home to Bagby & Balk despite strong displays from visiting pair Ollie Brooks and Mark Preece.

The top two also met in the second division, resulting in another 1-1 draw between Union Rovers seconds and Gillamoor reserves.

Josh Tateson scored Gillamoor’s 50th league goal of the season but that was cancelled out by Kingsley Daffern.

Gillamoor’s Sam Appleton, meanwhile, was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Sam Taylor (Gillamoor) and midfielder Nicky Todd (Union) were their respective teams’ best players.

Amotherby & Swinton thirds enjoyed a 5-1 triumph at Huntington thanks to George Everett, a free kick from Kiernan Wall, Shane Olley, man-of-the-match Nathan Rudd’s header and a wind-assisted corner from Liam Rapp.

Liam Broadley, Huntington’s star man on the day, got his side’s goal.

Ryedale Sports Club reserves defeated Duncombe Park 2-1 courtesy of Ben Thompson and a rare Matty Gardner header with defender Tom Croot turning in a man-of-the-match performance.

Danny Drake replied for Park, who had Scott Plowman in fine form.

Thornton-le-Dale reserves triumphed 3-1 at Aislaby United with Ian Farrow, Lee Allardice and Stuart Hooton the marksmen. Callum Wright was on target for United.

Rowan South’s brace saw Pickering Knights defeat Slingsby 2-1 despite playing the last 20 minutes with ten men owing to injury and a lack of substitutes.

The man-of-the-match honours went to Jono Trousdale with Luke Gibson netting for Slingsby, for whom Joe Brown impressed.

Heslerton reserves enjoyed their first win of the season and kept their first clean sheet with a 3-0 win at Rillington Athletic reserves.

Nick Bell, Tom Harrison and Danny Blanchard got the goals, while Simon Leckenby was unlucky to be on the losing side.
