TEENAGER Ryan Rivis stunned R J F Homes – Beckett League first division leaders Gillamoor with a brilliant double strike.
The rising Kirkbymoorside Reserves star netted a couple of first half goals – the second a fabulous strike – to put his team in charge of a keenly contested game.
Gillamoor came back strongly in the second half but they could only score a single goal by player/manager Craig Ibbotson as Kirkby held on for a 2-1 away win.
Kirkdale United strengthened their title bid with a 9-0 beating of Bagby and Balk who were a better side than the score line suggests.

Man of the match winners were Charlton and McDermid for Kirkdale United, while left winger Danny Easton took the honours for B&B.
Aislaby United won 3-2 at Old Malton 3rds. Simon Cook fired Aislaby ahead after 12 minutes with a deflected 25-yard free-kick. Rickard Stevenson equalised for Old Malton who went ahead on 51 minutes when Reece Piercy capitalised on a defensive error by Danny Russell and Chris Weighell.
Within 30 seconds of the restart, Aislaby were level when Kenny Temple’s cross saw Simon Cook score from 10 yards.
The game swung from end to end before Aislaby’s grabbed the winner just after an hour when Taryn Midgley smashed in an unstoppable shot from 25 yards. In stoppage time Aislaby’s veteran keeper Colin Frank made two fantastic saves to keep his side in front.
Old Malton’s man of the match was debutant Ashley Cooke, transferred last week from Union Rovers, while Frank took the honours for Aislaby whose debutant Andrew Spittlehouse impressed in midfield after his transfer from rivals Thornton-le-Dale.
Sinnington won a nine-goal thriller at home against Slingsby who forged ahead with a couple of Darren Dyer goals – the second direct from a corner.
Chris Wilkinson made it 3-0 to Slingsby before the Sinners pulled a goal back when Stuart Wilkinson scored.
Chris Wilkinson headed a second goal from a corner to restore his side’s three goal advantage but after a great save by Sinnington keeper Gary Mitchell, the Sinners roared back to score four times in the last half hour thanks to Stuart Wilkinson, brother David Wilkinson (2) before Johnny Wilson crashed in a 30-yard free-kick in the final minute.
Wayne Moon was Sinnington’s top man while midfielders Jamie Ward and Sean Keefe shared the honours for Slingsby.
Thornton-le-Dale moved up into seventh position after a 4-2 away win at Rosedale.
Thornton-le-Dale strolled into a 2-0 lead on a heavy pitch at Rosedale with goals from Luke Hobbs and Paul Grayson. Martin Piercy’s tap-in made it 3-0 before a Will Dunnett shot was sliced into his own goal by Rosedale’s Mark Sheridan, who redeemed himself by scoring Dale’s opener. Kenny Weatherall netted Rosedale’s second in the last minute.
Bay Horse’s 4-1 victory at Ampleforth took them to the top of division two while previous leaders Huntington were held 2-2 at Thornton-le-Dale Reserves.
