York Minster Engineering Football League reserve divisions resuslts

IN-FORM Old Malton St Mary’s pushed their unbeaten run into double figures as they stormed to the top of reserve ‘A’ in the York Minster Engineering Football League.

The Ryedale side were emphatic 5-1 winners at Wigginton as Scott Preston followed up his five-goal haul with a hat-trick.

Dean Nuttall and Sam Thackray were also on target, while Matt Tiplady hit the lone Wigginton reply.

York St John lost 3-2 at Copmanthorpe having led 2-0 at the break.

Andrew Manns scored twice and Simon Hughes once for Cop.

Huntington won 3-0 at Dringhouses with one goal from Chris Johnson and two from 40-year-old Graham McDonald.

Hamilton Panthers are still looking for their first reserve ‘A’ win.

Panthers led twice at home to Bishopthorpe, but the visitors cancelled out goals from Sam Wingard and Craig Fletcher.

Kartiers marksman Jack Healy hit a hat-trick in a 3-0 victory over Haxby United, who have now lost three on the trot at home.

Thorpe United have a two-point advantage at the top of reserve ‘B’ after a 2-1 win at Aviva.

Steve Smith and Graham Stewart hit first half goals for Thorpe, while Col Greenway replied for Aviva.

Lee Topping hit a hat-trick as Heslington won 4-1 at Tockwith to stretch their unbeaten away run to six games. Tom Sellars added Heslington’s other goal, while Danny Buckle scored for Tockwith.

York RI ended a run of four home games without a win in emphatic style as they crushed Ouseburn 9-2.

Dave Clarke bagged five and Dave McNichol hit a hat-trick, while Ashley Walker completed the rout.

Fulford beat visitors Huby 3-1 to go top of reserve ‘C’.

Steve Cooper, Danny Holmes and Tim Karnski shared the Fulford goals, with Gareth Thompson replying for Huby.

Stillington trailed 1-0 at home to Nestlé at the interval, but turned it round to win 4-2.

The goalscorers were Lee Goodwin (2), James Slater and Gary Goodwin.

A brace from Dave Colley was not enough to rescue Crayke, who lost 5-2 at Amotherby.

Bishop Wilton are still without a home win after their 5-2 defeat by St Clement’s, who sealed their first away win.

The visitors triumphed with goals from Adam Harrison (3) and Pete Webster (2).
