RALLY action returns to the North York Moors forests on Sunday when the Pickering-based Malton Forest Rally takes place.
There are plenty of local crews on the entry list for the 45-mile gravel event.
Sand Hutton driver Jim McNeil leads the way in his Subaru Impreza at number three with co-driver Mike Scrimgour.
Following is Jim’s father, Jeff McNeil, in his Subaru Impreza with York co-driver Fred Roberts with Malton Motor Club’s Phil and Simon Pickard at number eight in their Ford Escort Cosworth.
Pickering pair Steve Magson and Geoff Atkinson lead the two-wheel drive crews at number 12 in their Opel Ascona with Pickering navigator Steve Bielby once again in the Mk2 Ford Escort of Morton-on- Swale driver Charlie Taylor at number 15.
Top 1400 contender Alan Richardson, from Pickering, and Redcar co-driver Chris Roe are at number 42 in their Vauxhall Nova followed by MMC duo John Clayton and Plug Pulleyn in a BMW 325i.
Kirkbymoorside plumber Mark Simpson returns to action with Pickering co-driver Richard Burdon by his side in their 1400cc Nissan Micra Kit Car at 47.
Sutton Bank daughter-and-father crew Amanda and Derek Cornforth are number 56 in their 1400 Ford Ka with Dalby driver Rich Boyes and co-driver Robert Robinson at number 63 in their Peugeot 106.
Oswaldkirk driver Gareth Thomas is making his debut behind the wheel at number 64 in his Mk2 Ford Escort followed by MMC driver Phil Wilkes in his Ford Escort.
The entry list is headed by Thirsk driver Tim Pearcey in his Mitsubishi Evo 9 while Pickering brothers Mat and Darren Smith will run the course-opening car in a Ford Fiesta ST.
Spectators are welcome to the event in Cropton, Langdale and at Pickering Showground.
Day passes cost £10 per car, including a programme, and all money raised above the nominal amount for the Forestry Commission will go to Pickering Scout Group and Pickering Rotary Club, who will be directing car parking on the day.
Parking for Cropton is at the Sutherland Lodge entrance and follow the arrows to car parking. Due to recent problems at the Spiers House entrance, car parking is not permitted there. Parking at the Showground is through the main gate, people must not park on the road or in the lay-by opposite the entrance.
Access to Langdale is by Birch Hall and follow the arrows to J24. Parking is available on the left hand side of the road only and rally cars will also be passing as it is the exit from the stage.
The first car is due at the Showground stage at 8.34am and then again at 12.25pm.
The times for Langdale are 9.23am and 1.14pm and Cropton, with just one run, at 11.08am.
The finish is due at 2.10pm.
