Malton golfer Emma Brown to take part in European Ladies Team Championships

Malton & Norton Golf Club’s leading women’s player Emma Brown returns to the international stage next week.

Brown will be a vital part of the six-strong England team battling for success in the European Ladies Team Championships in Slovenia starting next Wednesday.

Brown, whose sparkling early-season form helped to persuade her to end a three-year self-imposed exile from international golf, was warmly welcomed back to the fold by team boss Steve Robinson, the head professional at Sandburn Hall, where Brown now works as golf manager.

“Emma’s experience will be a big boost to the squad,” said Robinson, who is hoping the team will fare better than a dramatic semi-final exit to Holland in Sweden last year.
