YORKSHIRE have work to do to against Surrey at Scarborough, having lost four third-morning wickets in their second innings of their Specsavers Ciunty Championship Division One clash.

The hosts claimed a first-innings lead of 75 before slipping to 24-3 in response, with all three falling to former South Africa fast bowler Morne Morkel.

They then reached lunch at 42-4 second time around.

Surrey, replying to 342, advanced their first innings from 219-7 overnight to 267 all out, with Ben Coad claiming three in four balls to finish with 5-53.

Ollie Pope impressed with 69 not out and shared 56 for the eighth wicket with Morkel (29) before, with the new ball, Coad had Morkel and Jade Dernbach caught in the slips with successive deliveries in the 82nd over and Amar Virdi bowled in the 84th.

But Morkel hit back. He had Alex Lees (one) caught at mid-on, Adam Lyth (seven) brilliantly caught behind down the leg-side by Pope and Gary Ballance caught at point for 15, leaving the score at 24-3 in the 11th over.

Rikki Clarke then had Harry Brook caught behind in the final over of the morning.
