STAMFORD Bridge Cricket Club star Lauren Winfield top-scored with 82 on day one of England Women's Test warm-up against a Cricket Australia XI.
Heather Knight's side were back in their whites after losing the one-day leg of the Ashes 2-1, with Yorkshire Diamonds captain Winfield's knock at the top of the order the standout effort at the start of this three-day match.
The tourists were bowled out for a modest 231, with five other batsmen reaching 20 but none converting their start.
The CA XI reached stumps on 82-4 in reply, Katherine Brunt taking 2-14 while Laura Marsh and Sophie Ecclestone took one wicket apiece.
