HUNTERS York & District division one leaders Hull Zingari became the latest side to lose to in-form Folkton & Flixton, who are now just outside the promotion places thanks to a fourth straight win.

The home side were bowled out for just 122 by the visiting trio of Harry Walmsley (4-28), Tom Norman (3-28) and Jamie Nesfield (3-22).

That was in reply to 216 to which both Norman (47) and Nesfield (46), alongside Anthony Stones (51), were key contributors, although Jack Storey looked to have given the hosts the initiative with 6-33.

The double act of Steve Janney and Chris Mann helped Sewerby overcome Harrogate and move into the promotion places.

Scott Cooper (75) was top scorer but runs from both Janney (37) and Mann (40no) helped boost the hosts to 230-6.

The same pair then shared eight wickets as the visitors were bowled out for 144, the former with 5-33, the latter with 3-18.

Knaresborough dropped out of the top two after their match at Hull was abandoned, although the rain probably saved the visitors from defeat as they were on the brink at 108-9, chasing 171-8.

Joe Hewitt had earlier made 39 for the home side but it was bowlers James Anson (5-25) and Drew Moran (3-13) who had secured such a dominant position before the match was cut short.

Dringhouses condemned bottom side Selby to their tenth defeat of the season, Andrew Simpson securing the points for the visitors with an unbeaten 81 in a total of 167-6.

That meant that, despite scoring 116 out of 166, Matthew Hoyle ended up on the losing side, George Wilson helping to ensure Hoyle received little support by taking 4-71.

Beverley Town took just 24 overs to chase down Ripon's 142, and in doing so sent the visitors crashing to a third straight defeat.

Matthew Mudd (3-32) and Joey Franklin (3-12) put the home side in control, and Jon Vodden (60) applied the finishing touches with the bat, although the home side didn't have things all their way, losing five wickets, three of which went to Matty Morton (3-31).

Hornsea's victory in a low-scoring game at Heworth was enough to see the east-coast side escape the relegation places.

Scores of 37 from Jonathan Fisher and 32 from Alastair Kirk helped the visitors reach 148, despite five wickets from Steve Lawrence (5-36).

Finn Scott made 42 for the home side but they were bowled out for 127, with four wickets each for Richard Medforth (4-29) and Ashley McKinley (4-35).
