HARRY Brook confidently reached 37 not out on debut at tea on day two of Yorkshire's match against Middlesex at Lord's.
Replying to 446 all out, Yorkshire had reached 86-2 from 26 overs at the interval in the Specsavers County Championship contest.
Middlesex quickly subsided from 421-8 at lunch, with Adil Rashid striking twice in two overs to wrap up the innings. He had Toby Roland-Jones caught at cover for 33 and Steven Finn (4) lbw.
Yorkshire lost Alex Lees early in their reply, lbw to Roland-Jones for four, as the score fell to 18-1 in the eighth over.
But 18-year-old Brook and Adam Lyth shared 64 inside 18 overs for the second wicket before the latter batsman edged Ryan Higgins' medium pacers behind for 37 in the session's penultimate over, making it 82-2.
Brook drove Roland-Jones for three to long-on to get off the mark, straight-drove England seamer Finn for four and later took back-to-back fours off the same bowler.
