STATION Master, trained by Richard Fahey's son Peter, followed up his maiden victory at Askham Bryan with further success in the Bedale Point-to-Point last weekend.

Ridden by Jack Teal, the horse won the Restricted Race at Hornby Castle after mistakes by Will Milburn on Benton's Lad and Monsun Storm whose jockey, John Dawson, confused the winning post with a crossing and slowed down.

Dawson subsequently received a fine from the stewards but his luck changed when winning the Men's Open race on Young Hurricane trained by Guy Brewer.

Jockey Ross Wilson celebrated a 'double' at the meeting with victories on See Mores Finale in the Confined Conditions Race and Bishop Wulstan in the Hunt Race.

Bishop Wulstan is trained by Callum Miller who is a pupil assistant at Karl Burke's yard in Leyburn.

Alice Dawson rode Rumble of Thunder to victory for trainer Charles Clark in the Ladies’ Open Race.

The final race, the Maiden, was won by Will Easterby on board the progressive Yoohoof which is owned by Ryder Cup golfer Lee Westwood and Chubby Chandler.

The next two fixtures on the Yorkshire point-to-point calendar are The Cleveland at Witton Castle on Sunday and The Staintondale at Charm Park near Scarborough on Easter Monday.
