YORKSHIRE Diamonds will open their Kia Women's Super League T20 campaign with a televised Roses clash in August.

The Diamonds will face Lancashire Thunder at Headingley on Friday, August 11 – immediately prior to the men's Roses T20 Blast fixture.

Both games will be televised by Sky Sports, who are screening the competition for the first time.

It is the first of five group matches for the Diamonds, who play three of them away from home.

Their only other home match comes against Western Storm at Headingley on Sunday, August 20.

Their second match of the competition, against Surrey Stars at The Oval, is also televised on Sunday, August 13.

Finals Day takes place at Hove on Friday, September 1.

Last year, the first for the Super League, saw the Diamonds win only one of their five matches.
