JAKE Lehmann's maiden Yorkshire hundred kept the defending champions alive against Somerset – but only just.
The Australian, whose father Darren scored 26 hundreds in 88 first-class appearances for the county, helped to wipe off his side's first-innings deficit of 245.
But Yorkshire had only three wickets left at tea, which they took on 256-7 after 86 overs with a lead of just 11.
After lunch, left-arm spinner Jack Leach bowled Tim Bresnan (4) and had Andrew Hodd (1) caught smartly at short-leg by Tom Abell as the score fell to 162-7 in the 61st over.
Lehmann and Liam Plunkett, who reached the interval 50 not out, then shared 94 unbroken for the eighth wicket, with the overseas batsman unbeaten on 112.
