OPENERS Scott Nicholls and Leon Sachs produced a memorable display as Acomb II enjoyed a winning draw at Heworth II in Hunters York and District Senior League Ebor division two.

Both players stood unbeaten on 111 as Acomb closed on 233 without loss.

Led by Matthew Huffer (67) and Harry Moorcroft (77*), Heworth II fell agonisingly short at 225-8.

Dringhouses continued their good form with a six wicket win at home to high-flying Yapham.

The visitors were dismissed for 117 thanks to Tom Storr (6-41). Dringhouses (118-4) won comfortably with Chris Evans hitting 50 and Andrew Simpson (49).

Les Welburn took 7-26 for Pickering II at Hemingbrough as they came away with a three wicket win.

Mark Holmes hit 68 as Carlton Towers (180-10 to take the bulk of the points against Malton & Old Malton II (162-9).

Scarborough II relinquished top spot after losing by 19 runs at Clifton Alliance II (196-9) for whom Jamie Butt scored 60. Joe Kilvington (3-49) and Matt Mellor (3-19) ensured maximum points for Clifton.

York III chased down 172-10 posted by visitors Londesborough Park. Skipper Tom Eagling hit 58no as York bowler Matt Wright bagged 4-29.

York’s chase was led by Charlie Robinson (39) and Ben Harris who saw his side home with two overs to spare.

In division three, Copmanthorpe left Civil Service with a seven wicket win after restricting their hosts to 142. The run chase was led by Salam Syed (56*) and Andrew Godfrey (48*).

Tom Russell top scored with 56 and Matt Stevens hit 40 as Cawood racked up 246-6 against Selby II (110-10) to win by 136 runs.

Dunnington declared at 256-5 at home to Castleford (147-9) with Dan Andrew (74) top scoring.

Lucas Stephenson (111) scored his maiden century as Londesborough Park II (277-7) piled on the runs at home to Whitkirk (260-4) in an incomplete win.

Leaders Stamford Bridge II (177-7) had to settle for the lesser of the points at Pocklington II who set a realistic target of 188-10 (Chris Saltmer 35no, Jonathan Lister 50).

Ollie Pimlott (55 & 3-35) turned in a good all-round performance but it was not enough as Pocklington took the winning draw.

In division four, Drax (172-9) had a comfortable win against Woodhouse Grange IV (96 all out).

Carlton Towers II (188-10) beat leaders North Duffield (108-10) at York Road.

Bolton Percy II (221-6) took a winning draw at Cawood II (143-7).

Thorp Arch & Boston Spa II scored 246-8 at home to Heworth IV (156-10). Sam Mottershead took 4 wickets in one over as his 5-77 paved the way to a TABS victory.
