THERE was no change among top four in the Hunters York & District Senior League Premier Division, although Easingwold increased the gap over their title rivals as the only winners among the group as all the others had to settle for winning draws.

Stephen Piercy, with 78, and a half-century from Matthew Turnbull helped the league leaders to a comfortable seven-wicket victory at Hull Zingari.

Matthew Bunn (45) and Guy Martinson (41) helped the hosts to 166-6, but that was well within the visitors' reach as they won with almost 16 overs to spare.

Goole Town were the day’s only other victors as they triumphed over Beverley Town by 92 runs.

Ollie Ounsley (42) played the stand-out innings of a low-scoring match as visiting trio Bradley Graham (3-20), Tommy Hudson (3-18) and Jamie Roe (3-40) each picked up three wickets as the hosts were all out 129, but those efforts were undone as their side were then shot out for just 37 by James Kerr (5-20) and Jack Knowles (4-15).

Clifton Alliance were left frustrated as Pickering’s last-wicket pair held out to deny their hosts victory.

Nicholas Hindle (60) top-scored in the home side’s 222-7, which also included 44 from Scott Hopkinson, Tim Whincup finishing with 4-44 for the visitors.

A half-century from Colin Frank (54) helped his side reach 176-9 by the close, despite three more wickets from Alex Renton (3-42).

It was a similar story at Heworth as they finished on 161-9 to deny Driffield Town.

The visitors were indebted to Will Norman (75) and Mark Clarkson (58), the pair scoring over half the side’s total of 201-7 as Freddie Coughlin took 4-65.

Sean Leetham (49) was one of three batsmen to pass 40 in the home side's reply but none were able to play a match-winning role as Tom Norman finished with 5-20.

James Clarkson’s century for Studley Royal helped them reach 246-7 at home to York and, although Steven Walmsey turned in a fine all-round performance with 48 and 3-36, the visitors took a share of the points, replying with 176-7, which included 41 from Ben Robinson and 34 from Matthew Hodsdon.

There were wickets for Matthew Till (5-38) and Stephen Langstaff (4-53) as Bolton Percy were all out for 179 at home to Sessay, Peter Houseman having contributed 53, and the visitors were struggling on 22-3 when rain brought a premature end to proceedings, although the home side’s share of the points was enough to lift them out of the bottom two at the expense of Hull Zingari.
