KEATON Jennings and Paul Collingwood have frustrated Yorkshire’s bid for a Specsavers County Championship win inside three days against Durham at Emirates Riverside.

Beginning day three on 98-3 in their second innings, 53 behind, they have advanced to 191-4 from 67 overs at lunch, which means a lead of 40.

Ben Coad ran Michael Richardson out from square-leg with a direct hit at the non-striker’s end following a mix up with Jennings, which left the score at 105-4.

That came during a run of five successive maidens from Tim Bresnan and Steve Patterson.

But Jennings and Collingwood, dropped on 19 by Andrew Hodd high above his head, have shared an unbroken 86 inside 26 overs.

Jennings will begin the afternoon on 82 and Collingwood 47.

Yorkshire have employed all three of their part-time spinners - Adam Lyth, Kane Williamson and Jack Leaning.
