RAIN and bad light have made for a frustrating session for Yorkshire in their Specsavers County Championship Division One match against Somerset in Taunton.
The White Rose lost two wickets – that of centurion Adam Lyth (106) and captain Andrew Gale (8) – in the shortened session.
Both were caught at first slip, Lyth pushing at paceman Lewis Gregory, and Gale similarly to the left-arm orthodox of Jack Leach.
Gary Ballance (24no) and Jack Leaning (11no) have steadied the ship since then.
Earlier today, Will Rhodes mistimed a Peter Trego bouncer and was caught haflway to the midwicket boundary for 15.
More rain is forecast tomorrow in Taunton, and the match is heading for a draw.
