THERE'S a North Yorkshire invasion on today's twilight meeting at Kempton, where trainers Richard Fahey and Nigel Tinkler and jockeys Tony Hamilton, Tom Eaves and Phil Makin all have good prospects of figuring among the winners.

EL VIENTO represents Fahey and Hamilton in the £11,500 32Red Casino Handicap as he seeks to put an end to a frustrating sequence of runner-up efforts.

The Malton sprinter has been in cracking form all season and has a Sandown win to his name. But his last four starts have resulted in him finding one too good each time, most recently at Doncaster and Ayr's Gold Cup meeting.

El Viento is something of an unknown on a Polytrack circuit – he has only ever raced once on an artificial surface – but he's a very professional racehorse and it would come as no surprise to see him lift this useful prize – or no surprise either to see him finish second again!

TINSILL, trained by Tinkler, was a recent winner at Nottingham. He turns out under a penalty in the Learn English At isehove.com Handicap over five furlongs. Andrew Mullen again takes the mount and a follow-up is far from a remote possibility.

Eaves teams up with trainer Mick Channon in the 32Red On The App Store Nursery Handicap when he rides LUNAR SON.

The juvenile is still without a win but he is fairly lightly-raced and his recent third at Nottingham in selling company may be good enough to land this modest event, especially if the switch to an all-weather surface ekes out a little more improvement.

Makin joins forces with CHOOKIE ROYALE, trained by Keith Dalgleish, in the £19,000 Boo Classic Conditions Stakes.

The seven-year-old is a high-class performer on the all-weather circuit and is a previous winner over this course and distance. He should go well over this turning seven furlongs, which suits him so well.

Also worth noting at Kempton are the promising CHARMY (6.10) and the useful NOBLE PEACE (7.10), who earns the nap vote after a series of creditable turf efforts for Henry Candy. Cathy Gannon has the mount.

At Bangor's afternoon jumps programme, the £25,000 Anne Duchess Of Westminster Memorial Handicap Chase takes pride of place and is run in memory of the owner of so many high-class jumpers – most notably Arkle, the greatest steeplechaser of all time.

There is nothing in the calibre of Arkle in the line-up this afternoon but FERGAL MAEL DUIN makes appeal from the foot of the weights.

The seven-year-old, trained by David Bridgwater, won by nearly five lengths at Fontwell on his seasonal debut three weeks ago. Raised 5lb, he can again prove competitive with a featherweight to carry.

TAKE THE CROWN should go well in the opening Friends Of The Animal Health Trust Handicap Chase.

Henry Oliver's charge should be all the better for his comeback outing at Worcester. Twice a winner last season, he also has course-winning form.

David Pipe introduces a well-regarded French import to these shores in the Broncroft Novices' Hurdle. BIRD E'ESTRUVAL was a winner over hurdles 11 weeks ago in France. He has a penalty to carry but also has the benefit of previous experience and is expected to prove a tough nut to crack.

Also worth noting on Bangor's smart card are the Nicky Henderson-trained GOLD PRESENT (3.00), a winner at Stratford and Market Rasen on his final two starts last season, and SKY LINO (3.30), who represents Nick Williams and shaped well on his hurdling debut at Chepstow last month.
