INNOCENT TOUCH, who has failed to win a race on the Flat this year, can set the record straight over hurdles at Musselburgh today.

The four-year-old – one of only three potential jumpers in Richard Fahey's massive Musley Bank yard at Malton, which is so powerful on the Flat – will be partnered by Brian Hughes in the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Novices' Hurdle.

Hughes has been schooling Innocent Touch at home and the four-year-old has performed satisfactorily in his new discipline. Although a winning turn on the Flat failed to come his way this season, he ran some rock-solid races in defeat in competitive handicaps.

Innocent Touch obviously lacks any public experience over hurdles – unlike Sacred Square, who has placed form over timber for Donald McCain.

Sacred Square, however, was rated only 72 on the Flat, which is a full 14lb lower than Innocent Touch's current rating. If the North Yorkshire gelding gets his jumping together, he should take plenty of beating and he is awarded the nap vote.

Norton trainer Brian Ellison may hold the key to the opening 100% Racing UK Profits Return To Racing Handicap Hurdle with DOMINADA, again provided that his jumping holds up.

A winner on his jumping debut at Uttoxeter in June, Dominada spoiled his chances next time out at Market Rasen with a less than fluent round of hurdling.

He has since won on the Flat and has further scope for improvement as a hurdler. It is to be hoped his jumping technique does not let him down against these more experienced handicappers.

MY BETTY, trained in Ireland by Peter Croke, should go well in the Racing UK Available Anywhere Novices' Limited Handicap Chase.

The seven-year-old finished second at Thurles a fortnight ago to confirm her well-being. She will be partnered by Derek Fox, good value for his 3lb claim.

At Market Rasen, MCKENZIE'S FRIEND takes the eye on his jumping debut in the winner.co.uk Maiden Hurdle.

Trainer Oliver Sherwood has given this gelding two runs in bumpers and he has performed well both times, not least when third at Warwick to the well-regarded Burlington Bert.

McKenzie's Friend has the correct credentials to take his career to a higher level over hurdles and is fancied to make a winning bow.

Richard Johnson is going great guns at the moment as he blazes a trail in the jockeys' championship and he can win the Bet & Watch at winner.co.uk Novices' Limited Handicap Chase on NO NO MAC.

A consistent performer over hurdles last season and a winner here last January, No No Mac is trained by Charlie Longsdon, whose horses are in excellent form. He can make his presence felt on his chasing debut.

Market Rasen regulars will vividly recall Longsdon's READY TOKEN winning on this course last month. It was a decisive victory in which he was 15 lengths clear at the line.

Ready Token now tackles the winner.co.uk Handicap Chase and, off a 9lb higher mark, is selected to follow up. Aidan Coleman has the mount.

In the opening Winner App Juvenile Hurdle, which has attracted only a handful of runners, STORMIN TOM is fancied to show the benefit of his recent hurdling debut at Wetherby.

Tim Easterby's gelding finished fifth on that occasion to stablemate Our Thomas, who has since run well in Listed company.

Stormin Tom, who paid his way on the Flat in the summer, should have benefited from that outing and is taken to turn the tables on Quill Art, who finished one place in front of him at Wetherby.

Also worth noting at the Lincolnshire course are Mike Sowerbsy's recent Southwell winner LARKHALL (3.20) and the unexposed TEMPLATE (3.55), who represents the strong Harry Fry stable.
