TONY Hamilton, enjoying by far his best-ever season, makes the long journey from North Yorkshire to Windsor tomorrow in a bid to inch a little closer to his 100-winner target for the year.

The Malton jockey completed a double at Catterick on Saturday which boosted his running tally to 86 winners, a far cry from his previous best score of 65 achieved last year.

Hamilton has a couple of live chances at Windsor aboard horses who have likewise journeyed from North Yorkshire.

Richard Fahey saddles Evangelical in the opening British Stallion Studs Fillies' Maiden Stakes, while Norton handler Declan Carroll saddles Bold Spirit in the War Of The Worlds # pushthebutton Handicap.

BOLD SPIRIT was successful as recently as last week at Musselburgh where he galloped home three lengths clear under David Allan, clearly relishing the step up from five furlongs on his previous start. He has a 6lb penalty to carry here but his chances must be respected.

EVANGELICAL has shaped well in three starts in her maiden campaign, finishing in the frame on every occasion. It may be that she will find one or two less exposed runners in this maiden but her experience should stand her in good stead over six furlongs and it would be no surprise to see her run a big race for Hamilton, who is a rare visitor this course.

Nap selection MEMORIES GALORE makes plenty of appeal in the first division of the Windsor Handicap.

Harry Dunlop's consistent charge was beaten only three quarters of a length at Salisbury last time when runner-up to I'm A Palaver. It would be no surprise to see the three-year-old go one better.

John Gosden and Frankie Dettori have enjoyed a stellar year and the formidable partnership will be represented by a fascinating newcomer in the Breeders Backing Racing Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

AL EGDA is owned by Al Shaqab Racing, Detttori's retaining owners, and is a daughter of Poet's Voice. A market move in her favour may highlight her chances of making a debut victory.

FASHIONISTA may prove the answer to the War Of The Worlds Fireworks Nursery Handicap over six furlongs.

Lightly raced, the William Haggas-trained youngster made it third-time lucky when getting off the mark at Beverley last month. This extra furlong should not cause her any headaches on her handicap bow. Pat Cosgrave has the mount.

At Lingfield's all-weather course, Freddie Tylicki can figure among the winners on ROYAL ACQUISITION in the Blythe Tavern Handicap.

The former Malton-based jockey, now based in Newmarket, has enjoyed a rock-solid year and has secured a retained riding job in Dubai for the winter. He rides Royal Acquisition for first-season trainer Ivan Furtado.

A winner at Redcar last time out, Royal Acquisition is a previous winner over this course and distance. He is entitled to go well.
