YORKSHIRE'S passage to the quarter-finals of the Royal London One-Day Cup was secured after no play was possible against Northamptonshire at Headingley today.
Knowing just a point would be enough to carry them through to the last eight, the Vikings won the toss and elected to field after the start of play was delayed following light morning rain.
But just as the players were making their way onto the pitch, the wet weather returned and became heavy before play was eventually called off at around 3.15pm.
Both sides receive one point, leaving Yorkshire third in Group A and facing the prospect of an away clash against the second-placed side in Group B, which will be decided tomorrow.
Northants miss out on the knockout stages as they finish fifth behind Durham on net run-rate.
