PAUL Midgley has been going well with his sprinters this season and the North Yorkshire trainer can hit the mark again at Doncaster this evening when IRISH GIRLS SPIRIT is fancied to add her name to a stable list which includes Line Of Reason, Monsieur Joe, Desert Law and Silvanus.

Megan Carberry takes the mount on Irish Girls Spirit, who has taken time to find her form this season, but who looked to be coming to hand over this course and distance a fortnight ago when she finished a close-up fifth to Ruby's Day.

Dropped 2lb as a result of that unplaced effort, Irish Girls Spirit has slipped to a workable mark and is fancied to capitalise from a stable which does particularly with its speedsters in the Betfaq Apprentice Handicap.

Iain Jardine, who is soon to move from his Hawick base to take over the Dumfriesshire yard owned by former successful trainer Len Lungo, can take the Betdaq Handicap with NAKEETA, the mount of Malton jockey David Nolan.

The four-year-old shaped well to finish fourth to Corton Lad at Ayr 11 days ago and would not need to improve much on that effort to come out on top this time and is napped to oblige.

FLYMAN may prove the answer to the Betdaq Classified Stakes over seven furlongs.

David O'Meara's gelding ran a sound race to finish sixth to Canyari over six furlongs on this course last time and is likely to be suited by this return to a longest trip. His main rivals include stablemate King Torus, a winner over this course and distance on his latest start, but with more on his plate this time.

The speedy MECCA'S MISSUS (6.35), trained by Michael Dods and a winner last time at Thirsk, and the promising DRIFTING SPIRIT (7.05), who represents Richard Fahey and steps up to seven furlongs for the first time, also make appeal on Town Moor.

At Hamilton, JAY KAY bids for a rapid hat-trick in the Racing UK On Sky 432 Handicap.

Karl Burke's gelding has rattled-up a couple of wins at Ayr within the last ten days and can oblige again here under a 6lb penalty. Joey Haynes continues his association with the six-year-old.

DANZEB is entitled to be hard to beat in the opening Irish Stallion Farms Maiden Stakes.

Ann Duffield's juvenile finished second on his debut at Carlisle and, although well beaten by the winner, did well to finish as runner-up after missing the break and running green until getting the message late on. He should be more professional this time.

Keith Dalgleish bids for a quick hat-trick of wins with in-form sprinter ALASKAN WING in the Racing UK Pass Handicap.

Wins at Catterick and on this course have seen the three-year-old hit a rich vein of form. He has a whopping 12lb penalty to carry this afternoon but Dalgleish has booked 7lb claimer Josh Doyle to offset a sizeable proportion of that extra burden. He will take plenty of beating.

Also worth noting at Hamilton are Mark Johnston's POLARISATION (3.45), who has been in excellent heart in recent weeks, and the promising GLAD TIDING (4.50), trained by David O'Meara.
