WHITBY consolidated top spot in the Ryedale League by thumping Ryedale ‘D’ 9-1.

Bob Evans and Dave Hildreth were unbeaten on the night.

Ryedale ‘B’ got back to winning ways by beating Ryedale ‘C’ 8-2.

Hutton-le-Hole ‘A’ took a big stride toward promotion from division two as they won 7-3 at rivals Amotherby ‘B’, with Paul Young on top form.

Ryedale ‘G’ won for the first time this season - Malcolm Sanderlan, Josh and Adrian Greaves beating Ryedale ‘E’ 6-4. Jean Wardman (3) impressed for the losers.

John Gascoyne starred as Ryedale ‘F’ beat Amotherby ‘C’ 8-2, Andy Paton and Barry Rudd also doing well. Ken Darby and Nick Knight were the only winners for Amotherby.

Coneysthorpe ‘B’ were thankful to star man Dave Allan (3) and Wendy Prest (2) as they beat Helmsley ‘B’ 6-4. Andrew Cavanagh, James Ellis and Phil Trevelyan all won games in reply but fell short.

Division three remains wide open.

FERA were hammered for the second week running, this time 8-2 at Westow, for whom Ryan Hood was unbeaten.

Ryedale Laundry’s Andrew Grayson, George Davison and Micea Voica thrashed Amotherby ‘D’ 10-0, and Hutton-le-Hole ‘B’, through Andrew Chappell, Doug Annan and Mary Chappell, beat their ‘C’ team 9-1.

In-form Coneysthorpe ‘C’ won 7-3 at Amotherby ‘E’ with Tom Walsh and James Allen unbeaten.
