WOODHOUSE Grange will host Cleckheaton in round one of cricket’s 2015 Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions Trophy.

The invitation knockout competition features the winners of the seven most influential cricket leagues in the county, plus the 2014 trophy winners.

Hunters York & District Senior League premier division champions Woodhouse Grange, will take on the Bradford League champions at Sutton-on-Derwent in May, although the date has yet to be decided.

Cleckheaton’s ranks include ex-Yorkshire bowler Iain Wardlaw. He is in Australia preparing for the World Cup with Scotland.

They have also signed 19-year-old fast bowler Curtis Free from Yorkshire League side Doncaster, while their squad also includes overseas leg-spinning all-rounder Tanzeel Altaf and wicket-keeper Mally Nicholson.

The winners will have a home semi-final against Elsecar or Methley. The final is scheduled for Sunday, August 23.
