NORTH Yorkshire jockey Connor Beasley, who enjoyed a milestone afternoon at Southwell on Saturday when riding out his claim and joining the fully-fledged ranks, can continue his winning run at Wolverhampton today.

Beasley teams up with nap selection Gambino in the Download The Ladbrokes App Handicap and John Riches' four-year-old has useful claims over a course and distance where he won last month.

On his latest start, Gambino finished fifth at this track, but that was over seven furlongs and he will appreciate the return to his winning distance of an extended mile today. He should go well for Beasley who is attached to the Michael Dods' yard and who has enjoyed an excellent year.

He rode winners at both Southwell in the afternoon and at Wolverhampton in the evening on Saturday and the first of those successes boosted his overall tally to 95 winners, the required amount to forfeit his apprentice claim.

And Beasley has been nominated for Flat Ride of the Year - after winning on Spinatrix at Ripon in late summer - at next week's Professional Jockeys' Association 'Lesters' Awards Dinner in Birmingham.

Pivotman, trained by Mick Easterby, can boost Gambino's claims by winning the opening Bet In Play At Coral Amateur Riders' Handicap (division one).

The six-year-old finished second to Gambino last month after previously winning on this course. He should go well under Harry Bannister.

Rainford Glory, trained in Norton by Tim FitzGerald, can win the second division of the amateur riders' handicap in the hands of Harriet Dukes.

The four-year-old, successful for Richard Fahey during the summer, shaped well on his first run back after a break on this course ten days ago and should have benefited from that outing.

Prolific winner La Estrella (3.05), the mount of Graham Lee, and the hat-trick seeking Star Anise (3.40) are two others to note on the Wolverhampton card.

At Ffos Las, Paul Moloney, who rode two winners for North Yorkshire trainer Alan Swinbank at Carlisle yesterday, can follow up with another brace, this time for his boss Evan Williams.

Moloney rides Cape Caster in the opening Davies Pharmacy Juvenile Hurdle and this former useful Flat horse is fancied to make a winning jumps debut.

Previously trained on the level by Ralph Beckett, Cape Caster reached a rating in the high-80's, which augurs well for his chances of doing well in his new discipline, provided, of course, he hurdles fluently.

Moloney and Williams can also win the Pennant Walters Handicap Hurdle with Oscar Sunset.

Lightly-raced in recent seasons, the seven-year-old made a most encouraging reappearance at Chepstow last month when chasing home Rock On Rocky.

The winner is in opposition again this afternoon, but Oscar Sunset meets him on better terms and should also have benefited from his comeback outing after being restricted to only one race last season.

Tony McCoy can get on the scoresheet aboard Globalisation in the IWEC Electrical Novices' Hurdle.

Trained by Rebecca Curtis for JP McManus, Globalisation won a bumper in pleasing style at Aintree seven weeks ago. He has previously shown ability in a couple of point-to-points which augurs well for his chances of making an impact here on his hurdling debut.

Two others to keep on the right side are the admirably consistent The Omen (1.30), narrowly beaten at Fakenham last time, and Volt Face (2.05), who ran a rock-solid race to finish third at Taunton on his seasonal debut a couple of weeks ago.
