CONEYSTHORPE ‘C’ recorded their first ever win in the Ryedale Table Tennis League, beating Amotherby ‘D’ 6-4 in division three.

Youngsters James Allen (3) and Joseph Adams (2), plus the doubles, did the damage with A Holmes (2), Chris Horner and Mark Foster replying for Amotherby. The ‘C’ team then drew against Hutton-le-Hole ‘C’.

Ryedale Laundry and Westow both won - 10-0 and 8-2 respectively over Amotherby ‘E’ and Amotherby ‘D’.

Westow man of the match Ryan Hood won all his games.

FERA’s Patrick Hough (3) and Katha Heinrich (2) starred in a draw with Hutton-le-Hole ‘B’. Hutton’s successes were Doug Annan (2), Andrew Chappell and Doug Clark.

In division two, Hutton-le-Hole ‘A’, with points from Jim Bailey (3) and Chris Parker plus the doubles, drew with Amotherby ‘B’, whose top performers were Tom Thorpe (2), Russ Grimshaw (2) and Richard Brown.

In division one, Amotherby ‘A’ went down 6-4 to Ryedale ‘B’.

Paul Cuthbertson, Gareth Bryning and Andy Seed won one game each for Amotherby, with Mike Wheatley (3) man of the match for Ryedale.

Whitby lost 6-4 to Ryedale ‘C’, who recorded their first win of the season thanks to Alec Hodgson (2), Ed Wardman (2) and Peter Lee (2).

Ryedale ‘A’ won 10-0 second week running thanks to John Flintoft (3), Stephen Temple (3) and Steve Oldfield (3).
