HEMINGBROUGH’S division four west title chances were boosted when Bolton Percy conceded due to a lack of available players.

And in another boost, third-placed Carlton Towers lost ground in the push for the championship when losing by 46 runs against Tadcaster Magnet.

Tadcaster posted a total of 146-7, which was topped by a defiant 39 from L Ward.

In reply, Quinten McGrory-Hill made 28, but John Wetherhill took 4-31 and Tom Woffendin 4-39 to help to terminate Carlton’s innings at 100.

Chris Lawler made 51 and James Pullein 52 as Cawood posted 176-5 against Woodhouse Grange.

Grange then struggled along to a draw at 96-8 with M Hainley making 25 as P Woodhead took 3-36.

There was a fine knock of 39 from Kelvin Brook in the modest Drax total of 86-9, but it was to little avail as Dan Croft emerged with an impressive 5-8.

Pocklington then eased to a seven-wicket win with B Bold unbeaten with 36 and Chris Saltmer making 27.
