IN-FORM Colin Spink has set a new Helmsley Bowling Club record - becoming the first player in the club’s 72-year history to win their three singles trophies in one season.
The three competitions are the Mill Scutt Cup, the Frank Kay Memorial Trophy and the Gents’ Championship - and, after triumphing in the latter, Spink has now seen off the opposition over several rounds in all three.
He is pictured, far right, holding the Gents’ trophy alongside his opponent in the final, Chris Knowles.
