Grange beat table-toppers Scalby by 25 runs in the final at Seamer.

Jonny Pickard (40) got them away to a good start and the in-form Michael Wearmouth (35) and Charlie Allott (23) later added decent runs to take them to 137-8 in their 20 overs.

Scalby lost two early wickets in response but, with Adam Waugh making 37, they got themselves into a winning position until Nick Thornicroft starred with 4-7 and Peter Wilson claimed 2-23 to have them all out for 112.

The Cayley Cup finals for the premier division and division ‘B’ competitions will be held at Flixton on Sunday.

Mulgrave meet Forge Valley 2nds in the division ‘B’ final at 12.30pm, with Heslerton and Staxton following in the top tier showdown at 4pm. Both matches are 20 overs per side.
