FIVE-handicapper Roger Parry scored a hole in one at Rudding Park and can finally equal bragging rights with his five.

The 38-year-old aced the 206-yard, par three 11th at the Harrogate course and said: “I hit the ball and turned away only to be told to watch it, as I turned back round I witnessed it bounce twice then roll into the hole.

“My wife had her first hole-in-one two months and has never stopped reminding me, so hopefully now I’ll have some peace and quiet.”

Selby golfer Michael Siddle followed suit when he found the hole with just one shot on the 122-yard, par three nine at Scarthingwell Golf Club. The 74-year-old, who has a 22 handicap, joins Parry in being awarded for his achievement with a limited-edition Boss watch.
