MATTHEW ENTICKNAP was delighted with his win in Malton Wheelers’ latest 10-mile time trial on the Malton to Pickering road.

Enticknap has been in holiday mode so was surprised to take first place with 22 minutes 22 seconds ahead of Paul Hickman (22-27).

Ralph Lilley (23-42) was third.

The times were good because of the warm weather but the finishing straight had a tough direct head wind.

Cameron Turner, on a fixed wheel machine, was chuffed with 24-30, 50 seconds off his personal best.

Dominic Eyre (27-17) beat his PB by nearly two minutes, while Andrea Wood rode her first 10-miler in a superb debut time of 28-50.
