DIVISION three north leaders Easingwold logged their seventh win to maintain their five-point advantage over rivals Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

Park batted first and reached 163-7, with J Williamson making 71 and Toby Stephenson 25 not out.

Easingwold the responded with 166-2, with Mark Mierswinski making 53 not out and Charlie Ramsay 33.

Third-placed Castleford’s promotion chances took a knock when they conceded to Woodhouse Grange ,for whom the 30 gifted points boosted their chances of avoiding relegation.

P Boxall struck 66 as York made a decent start at Sheriff Hutton Bridge, but their innings then fell away as Dan Clipston claimed 4-31 and the innings only totalled 124.

The Bridge seemed to be heading for a ten-wicket win but Josh Cockrill fell for 46. That was the only setback as Steve Crowder’s unbeaten 74 took his side to a nine-wicket victory.

Two mid-table neighbours met at Stillington where Huby coasted to a seven-wicket triumph, which lifted them above their hosts.

Stillington were restricted to 141-8 as Dan Grainger took 3-34.

Their successful batsmen were Mark Aconley, with 30, Tim Jarvis, who made 41, and Matt Coulson, who made 33.

When Huby took their turn at the crease, Grainger continued his good work in making 28 before the points were claimed by Sean Dixon, who struck 48 not out and Jack Mead, who was unbowed with 25 not out.

Drax clocked up their second win when they beat Malton by five wickets thanks to an unbeaten 87 by Luke Edwards and 47 from Ben Worley.

Earlier, Malton had made 202-7, with Tom Audsley 32, A Blacklee 35 and A Hill 34 in the runs. Worley took 4-42.
