THERE was a second tied game of the season in division three south when the 175-9 made by leaders Rowntrees & Huntington was followed by 175-7 from lowly Civil Service.

Jack Hugill hit 62 and Tom Shaw 44 for Rowntrees, while Glen Crouch had a fine game for Service in taking 5-31 and then making 51 not out.

Ian Frazer made 43 and Mark Fairweather 42 as Stamford Bridge totalled 127-9 at Heworth. Lee Bradshaw then fronted Heworth’s reply with an unbeaten 71 in a nine-wicket win.

Grant Van Es (3-37), Nauman Abid (3-45) and Jason Hellwig (3-19) dismissed Pickering for 167. Neal Margerison then made 42 as Fenner moved to a four-wicket win.

Selby’s Jamie Wheeler made 58 and Joe Romaniw 46 not out in a total of 161-6, but Scarborough took a four-wicket win despite Romaniw’s 4-34 return.

Andy Routledge cracked 106 and Chris Smith 54 as New Earswick clocked up 213-8 at Welton. The hosts managed to hold on for a draw at 112-9, with Paul Stimpson taking 4-21.
