KEITH EDDON had a busy time in the latest Pickering Horseshoe Individual League night - starting in fine form in fine form but then coming a cropper against the top two.
Eddon kicked things off with a 4-0 win over Steve Colley. He opened with a 21-dart leg on a 72 finish and followed with three 100s for a 19-dart second leg and continued to outscore his opponent.
However, his next contest was against second-placed Steve Taylor and he lost 3-1.
Taylor struck first and, although Eddon levelled with a 19-dart leg including a 140 and a 100, Taylor took the match, aided by some solid finishing on 58 and 57, thanks to two 23-dart legs.
In the last match of the night, Eddon fell 4-0 to table-topper Billy Hague.
The league leader opened up a 2-0 lead as Eddon missed vital doubles and he upped the pace in leg three with a 21-darter including a tidy 76 finish and followed up with a 100 plus a 140 to round off the victory in 19 darts.
In other contests, John Rule beat Adie Bumstead 4-0, his best leg being a 23-darter including two 100s and a 60 finish, while Sarah Hodgson secured the points against Steve Colley with legs of 24 and 21 darts rounded off with a nice 66 finish. Colley won a scrappy last leg to avoid a whitewash.
