RYEDALE ‘C’ racked up their 100th set defeat of the season as they were relegated to division two of the Ryedale League.
They lost 9-1 to Coneysthorpe ‘A’, who equalled champions Ryedale ‘A’s points haul but finished second due to fewer sets wins.
Amotherby ‘B’ made sure of third place by beating Whitby 8-2, Tom Needham and Gareth Bryning remaining undefeated on the night.
Swinton ‘A’ can still achieve fourth after beating rivals Helmsley ‘A’ 7-3 in which veteran Ray Mitchel had two good five-set wins.
It is tight at the top of division two where Amotherby ‘C’ are two points above Ryedale ‘D’. Amotherby have one game to play and Ryedale two.

Swinton ‘B’ can finish fourth with maximum points in their last game.
Ryedale ‘G’ can still sneak second place in division three following their 9-1 win over Coneysthorpe ‘C’ coupled with Ryedale Laundry’s 8-2 defeat by champions Ryedale ‘H’. Ryedale ‘G’ need to gain maximum points from their last three games.
