MALTON Royal Oak ‘A’ have returned to the top of Malton & Norton Pool League division ‘A’ after whitewashing Union ‘B’.
Derwent Arms ‘B’ struggled to a 4-3 win over Spotted Cow and drop to second but two wins in their last two games will secure them a third straight title.
New Globe ‘B’ have edged a point in front of Blacksmith’s Arms in division ‘B’. Railway Tavern maintained promotion hopes but are five points off the leaders.
The final of the Ladies’ Individuals will be a repeat of last year as champion Claire Jackson meets Union team-mate Kirsty Taylor. They beat Lynsey Lack and Dilys Wright respectively in the semi-finals.
In the Men’s competition, Jamie Barstow beat Royal Oak ‘A’ team-mate Dougie Pauley and Darren Craggs (Bright Steels ‘A’) edged Spencer Ward (Royal Oak ‘A’).
