ALAN SWINBANK journeys to his local Catterick course this afternoon with excellent prospects of completing a double.

The Richmond trainer is fancied to score with Tiny Dancer and Molly Cat, both of whom are seeking their second wins of the campaign.

Tiny Dancer goes for the Dine And View At Catterick Races Novices’ Handicap Chase after a facile success on his fencing debut at Ayr three weeks ago. The six-year-old won by 24 lengths that day and is not easily opposed.

Molly Cat made a successful public bow at Wetherby and has since shaped well to finish second on Kempton’s Polytrack.

Swinbank is also saddling Georgian Firebird in the closing National Hunt Flat Race, but this one finished fourth to Molly Cat at Wetherby and, although successful next time, may have to play second fiddle once again to her stablemate.

Irish raider Barneys Honour (2.15), who is dropped into selling company by Gordon Elliott and recent Musselburgh winner Morning With Ivan (3.15) are two others to note at Catterick.

Graham Lee could be the jockey to follow at Lingfield. The ace northern pilot has a fighting chance of chalking up three winners on the card, including Seamster in the opening Compare Bookmakers At bookmakers.co.uk Handicap.

Lee has struck up a good rapport with Richard Ford’s gelding and has steered him to victory on his last two visits to this course. A third success is not out out of the question.

Lee’s other two chances are aboard horses trained in North Yorkshire by James Bethell.

Starbotton, who won at Kempton two starts back, ran a good race in defeat last time when third at Wolverhampton.

She has good prospects of regaining the winning thread in the Download The Ladbrokes App Handicap over her favoured distance of seven furlongs.

Bethell and Lee can also make their presence felt with Steelriver in the Coral Racing Handicap.

The gelding was a beaten favourite on his reappearance at Kempton five weeks ago but produced a solid effort to chase home Ocean Applause. He is taken to go one better.

The £15,000 32Red Handicap is the feature race on the Lingfield card and Joohaina may prove the solution to a tight contest over seven furlongs.

Trained by Marco Botti at Newmarket, the three-year-old is likely to have benefited from his comeback run at Wolverhampton three weeks ago, when he finished second. He can strip a sharper horse this time. Luke Morris takes the mount.
