GARY BRADSHAW smacked a second-half hat-trick as Scarborough Athletic beat Carlton Town 3-0 in Evo-Stik League first division south.

His flurry of goals came in just nine minutes and transformed what had been a sluggish contest for the first hour.

The opener came in the 67th minute when Pete Davidson was scythed down by Carlton captain Martin Ball.

Bradshaw sent Jonathan Viscosi the wrong way from the spot. The second came four minutes later when the former North Ferriby hitman scored with his second effort after being sent through by substitute Liam Shepherd. And in the 76th minute, Bradshaw raced on to a Ryan Blott header and hit the ball over Viscosi into the top of the net.

Whitby Town’s home game against Rushall in the Evo-Stik League premier division was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

This Saturday, eighth-placed Whitby go to second-placed Skelmersdale (kick off 3pm), who will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat at Ilkeston Town.
