FREE-SCORING Tadcaster Albion took their Northern Counties East League premier division tally to 20 goals in three games with a 6-0 home win over Winterton Rangers.

The second-placed Brewers, who have beaten Lincoln Moorlands 6-0 and 8-1 this month, trounced struggling Rangers with the help of a hat-trick by returning striker Calum Ward.

Danny Critchlow scored the only goal of the first half, netting on 17 minutes, but the hosts cut loose after the break.

Ward, who rejoined the Ings Lane outfit from Ossett Town last week, scored three minutes after the break and added a second five minutes later.

Striker Carl Stewart smashed in a free-kick for the fourth goal on 65 minutes – two minutes before Ward completed his treble.

Denny Ingram rounded off the rout in the last minute as Albion moved to within a point of leaders Barton Town Old Boys.

Pickering Town moved up to tenth in the top flight table with a 3-1 win over Worksop Parramore at Mill Lane.

Josh Greening scored the opener on 30 minutes and Jamie Patterson scored a second just before the break.

Ryan Johnson got Parramore back into the game on 71 minutes, but Greening’s second goal in the last minute snuffed out the possibility of a comeback.

In division one, Knaresborough Town held a 1-0 lead at half-time against Hemsworth Miners Welfare thanks to Byron Littlefair’s 39th-minute goal.

However, the visitors equalised through Nicholas Guest three minutes after the break and Nash Connolly hit their winner on 81 minutes.

Selby Town’s division one game at Grimsby Borough was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
