Kevin Ryan, whose Flat campaign was highlighted at York in August when he won the historic Gimcrack Stakes for a third time with Astaire, bids to finish off 2013 in style at Lingfield this afternoon.

The North Yorkshire trainer sends Swehan to Lingfield in the hope that the three-year-old can follow up his win on the course six weeks ago.

That success was gained under Jamie Spencer in maiden company over ten furlongs.

Swehan now drops back to a mile and has Norton jockey Tom Eaves in the saddle for the first division of the Download The Ladbrokes App Handicap.

A bold bid is expected.

Honey Of A Kitten carries the nap in the opening Ladbrokes Apprentice Selling Stakes.

David Evans’ gelding is ultra-consistent and, following a brave effort in defeat at Wolverhampton two starts ago, he went down narrowly to Copperwood on this course on his latest start.

He should go well under the competent Eoin Walsh.

Perfect Persuasion may prove the answer to the 32Red.com Maiden Stakes.

The William Haggas-trained filly made a promising debut at Kempton a month ago to be beaten by less than a length.

There is surely more to come from Jim Crowley’s mount.

Irish Tears (1.00), who is overdue a winning turn, and well regarded Wolverhampton debut winner Fleckerl (2.00) are two others to note on the all-weather card.

Over the sticks at Warwick, Barrakilla is fancied to come good over fences in the Whitson Bloodstock Novices’ Chase.

Evan Williams’ gelding produced a decent display to chase home Hi George and Holywell at Catterick on his latest start.

He can step up on that display here and come out in front.

Kilrush may prove the solution in the 32Red On The App Store Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle.

Although he was lucky to win at Fontwell last time – he was left clear at the final flight when looking booked for second – Neil Mulholland’s charge turned in a sound display in any case.

Only 2lb higher here, Kilrush can follow up.

Samurai Way (2.20), runner-up at Bangor last time, and the consistent Midnight Charmer (3.20) are two others to consider.
