100 per cent start for rampant Riccall United

RICCALL United boosted their title chances as they made it six wins out of six games in the York Minster Engineering Football League premier division.
Chris Coxon, Wayne Brook and Ryan Watson all found the net against the students, who are stranded at the bottom of the table.
Tom Matthews, Kieron O’Brien, Colin Raynor and Jonathan Andrews all hit the target before the break as the home side led 4-2, with a Carl Shepherd double and a Matthew Wain effort completing the scoring.
Dave Watson, Pat Gaughan and Mark Woodward responded for Dringhouses.
Ben Sheehan was then kept busy in the Cop goal before John Patrick scored to seemingly win the game for the visitors.
Mark Smythe had the last word, however, firing home in the dying moments of the game to rescue a point for his side.
St Clement’s once again failed to see out the 90 minutes as a 2-0 half-time lead at home to York RI counted for nothing, with the away side rallying to record a 4-3 triumph.
Simon Kehoe and Scott Nicholas had given Saints the advantage but, despite a further goal from Nicholas in the second period and the sending off of RI’s Craig Atkinson, it was the visitors who finished the stronger.
Strikes from Darren Sellars, Danny Cates and a Cameron Sanderson brace secured the win for RI.
Earlier, in the game an own goal had gifted Town the lead before Rich Moss levelled for Poppy.
