Ken Herbert came out on top in Friday’s Phoenix Angling Veterans’ match at Wagtail Park, taking a winning 26lb 4oz from peg 12.
Fishing up to the lilies with the eight-metre pole and worm, he banked four small carp plus a good helping of skimmers and crucian carp to the 12oz mark.
Howard Pulford was best of the rest with 17lb 13oz from peg nine.
