Darts: Wilson stars as Globe keep unbeaten record

Globe ‘Z’ remain the only undefeated team in the Malton & Norton League ‘A’ division after beating bottom-of-the-table Hyde Park 6-2.
Billy Hague and Kev Wilson (Globe) threw a fantastic 23-dart leg in the pairs. Wilson also hit 180 in the pairs and in his individual leg. Trevor Mennell took the only individual point for Hyde.
Second-placed Derwent ‘G’ beat Derwent ‘A’ 6-2, hitting 27 ton-plus scores.
Railway Club stay in the relegation zone after losing 5-3 to Globe ‘A’, for whom John Spoors hit a maximum. Bright Steels won their second match of the season 5-3 against Royal Oak ‘B’.
Derwent ‘B’ increased their lead in the ‘B’ league to eight points after a 7-1 victory over Globe ‘C’.
Royal Oak ‘A’ maintained their good run at Globe ‘B’ and look on course for promotion with two league games left. Jockey ‘A’ managed a draw with Gate Inn.
Royal Oak ‘C’ took over top spot in the ladies league after a 4-4 draw with Railway Tavern. Oak girls still have work to do to claim the title as Globe ‘C’ are only five points behind with two games in hand.
Jockey ‘A’ beat Royal Oak ‘B’ 6-2. Jockey’s Donna Featherstone hit a 120 and Oak’s Sarah Lightfoot a 115. Globe ‘B’ lost 5-3 to the Royal Oak ‘A’, Sue Selby hitting three tons to take Globe’s only individual point.
New Inn drew level with White Swan at the top of the Moors League after an 8-2 victory over Blacksmiths ‘A’ Lastingham in a rearranged match and a hard-earned 6-4 win over visitors Buck Inn ‘A’.
Mick Ellerby (133 score), Andy Waines, Nie Monkman (140, 3x100), Sarah Hodgson (125, 100) and Mick Hodgson (2x100) put them in charge against Buck with Darren Marsh and Pop Ellerby (133) replying for the Wrelton side.
White Swan swept aside Blacksmiths Hartoft 8-2 with a Richard Thompson leg and a three-a-side win being Blacksmiths’ only highlights in a low-key match.
Andrew Tock hit an 85 checkout as Moors Inn consolidated third place with a 7-3 win at Blacksmiths ‘A’ Lastingham, while team-mate Tom Pickering performed well with a 31-dart leg as he beat Adam Durrant (130, 125).
Richard Wilson (4x100) and Neil Robson (3x100) starred as Sun Inn won 7-3 at Buck Inn ‘B’. Clive Atkinson and Mike Peirson (100) put up the main resistance for Buck.
Colin Pepler (140, 139) and Jim Thompson (140, 82 finish) struck early for Appletree Inn but visitors Blacksmiths ‘B’ Lastingham replied strongly through Vanessa and Shaun Wilson, Paul Miers, Jon Bointon (135, 100, 112 checkout) and Luke Hobbs to win 6-4.
Pete Dowsland and Eddie Barker put Crown Inn 2-0 up against Coach House only for Mike Dale to start a Rosedale revival which saw House edge the match 6-4.
